Slow Exposures 2018!

I am happy to be exhibiting once again in Zebulon, Georgia, at Slow Exposures 2018, as part of the PopUp Tour, curated by John Bennette.  I will be exhibiting in the Chandler Building, in downtown Zebulon, along with Ben Hillyer, of Mississippi. You can read more about Slow Exposures 2018, and the PopUp Exhibits, here.

Photographer of Merit, Inaugural 2018 Denis Roussel Award

I am honored and so pleased to have been named a Photographer of Merit in the inaugural 2018 Denis Roussel Award.    I am in very good company among an amazing group of photographers and print-makers.  A big thank you to Rfotofolio, and to juror, Jill Enfield.   You can read more about Denis, a family man, and an amazing photographer and educator himself,  and this Award that continues his legacy, here.

Analog Exhibition at the GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art

I am thrilled to be showing several of my images from 'The Old Garden' series, printed in tricolor gum/cyanotype, at the GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art, located in Greensboro, NC, in the upcoming exhibit 'Analog.'  This exhibition features the works of eight NC photographers who specialize in traditional, analog, and alternative process photography. The opening reception is August 3, from 6-8:30 pm, and the exhibit runs through November 4, 2018. Artists include Signe Ballew; Diana H. Bloomfield; Courtney Johnson; Michael Keaveney ; Holden Richards; Dale Rio; elin o'Hara slavick; and Joshua White. A big big thank you to Elizabeth Harry of the GreenHill Center for curating 'Analog' and for the invitation!

I am thrilled to have been awarded an Honorable Mention in the Alternative Processes category of the 11th Edition of the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards for Women Photographers.  And I'm doubly honored to be in such stellar company.

570 women photographers from 63 countries participated, submitting over 5700 images.  You can read more about it here, and see all the winners in each category.

Tri-color gum printing at Cullowhee Mountain Arts! Registration is now open.

I'll be teaching tri-color gum bichromate printing once again up at Cullowhee Mountain Arts, on the Western Carolina University campus, located in Cullowhee, in the beautiful cool North Carolina mountains.  The workshop runs June 24-29, and you can read all about it here.

Depth of Field Biennial

I was honored to be invited to participate in the Depth of Field Biennial, organized by Rfotofolio.org-- with exhibition at the beautiful Center for Photographic Art, located in Carmel, California.  A big thanks to Brian Taylor, Director of the Center, and to Rfotofolio!  Beautiful exhibition and wonderful events.  The exhibit is on through May 20, 2018.  A catalog is available, which you can purchase here.
